Patch 7.08 brings a visual revamp to smokes in VALORANT, making it easier for players to understand when a smoke is going to dissipate. Omen’s Dark Cover, Astra’s Nebula, and Brimstone’s Sky Smokes will now play a distinct audio cue 1.5 seconds before disappearing.

This change provides players with a clear cue, allowing them to make better decisions around smokes. While there was initially some controversy about this change, it is now official and expected to enhance the experience, particularly for lower-ranked players.

Allies Can No Longer Hear You Equip Abilities

In Patch 7.08, your allies will no longer be able to hear you equip abilities. This change aims to create more consistency regarding the audio of equipping gun and ability sounds.

Starting with this patch, players will not hear their allies equipping abilities, regardless of the distance. This change will help players better understand what sounds the enemies can or cannot hear.

Huge Premier Update

The Premier tournament queues will now be active for 15 minutes instead of one hour.

Teams must now begin queuing and stay queued during the 15-minute window to be eligible to play in the Premier tournament. At the end of the waiting period, teams remaining in the queue will be matched into evenly distributed brackets based on their Premier score.

This change allows teams with a better regular season record to have a higher seeding in the playoffs tournament. However, reducing the queue window to one-fourth of its previous length may create scheduling difficulties for many players, especially those with regular jobs.

Updated Level Borders and Player Card UI

The Level Borders and Player Card collection have received an update. The new grid UI makes it easier for players to search, navigate, and equip Player Cards and Level Borders. This visual update is a welcome addition for players who frequently customize their VALORANT profiles.

All Bug Fixes in VALORANT Patch 7.08

Patch 7.08 includes several bug fixes, specifically addressing issues related to Deadlock.

Deadlock’s Annihilation will no longer be able to open Bind’s automatic doors from outside the teleporter rooms or Breeze’s Mid Chute trapdoor from below. This fix addresses an inconsistency, as no other abilities can perform these actions. Additionally, Neon’s wall will now fully cast when thrown from outside the A Door on Fracture.

In addition to agent bug fixes, the patch addresses various reported issues in the game, such as audio problems in the loading screen, reduced kill audio for certain skins, and more. Here are all the bug fixes included in this patch:
