Paper Rex’s f0rsakeN attributes loss against Leviatán at VALORANT Champions to aim

Paper Rex Suffers First Loss in VALORANT Champions, Leviatán the First to Qualify for Playoffs

VALORANT team Paper Rex experienced their first defeat in the Champions tournament against Leviatán, making the South American squad the first team to secure a spot in the playoffs.

In an interview with TheSpike.GG, Paper Rex’s Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto cited a key factor that contributed to their loss.

F0rsakeN emphasized the team’s lack of aim in the match against Leviatán, which played a significant role in their defeat. “Our aim wasn’t sharp, resulting in losing several gunfights,” f0rsakeN remarked.

Additionally, f0rsakeN mentioned that Paper Rex was well-prepared for the series and had knowledge of Leviatán’s aggressive playstyle. However, their aim was not up to par, resulting in their failure to secure a single pistol round. “It gave Leviatán the advantage every time a half started,” explained f0rsakeN.

Alongside their poor aim, the team also experienced communication issues, which contributed to their surprising loss.

Paper Rex now awaits their next opponent in the tournament, which will be either Team Liquid or EDward Gaming. The two teams will face each other in an elimination match in Group A. In the opening matchup, f0rsakeN and his teammates emerged victorious against the Chinese side.

The elimination match between EDG and TL is scheduled for Sept. 4, while Paper Rex will return to compete on Sept. 7.
