OpTic Hires Jovi as Assistant Coach After VCT Masters Triumph

OpTic Gaming Adds Jovi Vera to Coaching Staff After VCT Masters Victory

OpTic Gaming, a North American esports organization, has brought in Jovanni “Jovi” Vera as an assistant coach for their VALORANT roster. This move comes after the team’s recent win at VCT Masters, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Jovi initially joined OpTic on a temporary basis before the event, but he will now be a permanent member of the coaching staff. Alongside head coach Chet Singh, Jovi played a crucial role in helping the team secure victory at VCT Masters. While Chet traveled with the team to Reykjavík, Iceland, Jovi provided remote assistance.

OpTic’s Triumph at VCT Masters

OpTic emerged as the champions of VCT Masters after a 3-0 victory over LOUD, a Brazilian team, in the grand finals. Although OpTic had previously lost to LOUD in the upper bracket finals, they fought back in the losers bracket and secured a spot in the grand finals with a win against Zeta Division.

Jovi’s Background and Previous Role

Jovi served as the head coach of 100 Thieves for two months before being released in March. He was then replaced by seangares, a former Counter-Strike professional who has transitioned into a VALORANT content creator and commentator. Seangares was accompanied by assistant coach Michael “Mikes” Hockom and general manager Daniel “ddk” Kapadia.
