OpTic dominates KRÜ Esports, secures spot in VCT Masters Copenhagen playoffs

OpTic Gaming Sweeps KRÜ Esports to Secure Playoffs Spot at VCT Masters Copenhagen

OpTic Gaming secured their spot in the playoffs of the VALORANT event at VCT Masters Copenhagen with a sweeping victory over KRÜ Esports. After a second-place finish in Challengers, OpTic had to fight their way through the group stage and lower bracket of Masters. Despite facing elimination, OpTic emerged victorious against LOUD and made the battle against KRÜ look easy.

OpTic chose Split as the opening map but couldn’t gain an advantage in the first half, leaving the score at 7-5 in favor of KRÜ. However, OpTic found their stride in the second half and dominated KRÜ, winning eight consecutive rounds to secure a 13-7 victory. Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen stood out as OpTic’s hard carry on Split, with an impressive performance as Astra.

Haven was no different, as OpTic carried their momentum from the previous map. Despite winning the opening pistol round and the seventh round, KRÜ couldn’t gain much traction. With a commanding 10-2 lead, OpTic closed out the map with a 13-4 win.

With their playoffs spot secured, OpTic will now face XSET, a team they previously battled in the Challengers Two finals.
