Only one VALORANT agent remains unplayed at VCT LOCK//IN so far

No Love for Reyna at VCT LOCK//IN

The self-healing powerhouse duelist, Reyna, has been left out at VCT LOCK//IN, but the tournament is far from over.

Despite being one of the most popular duelists in ranked play, Reyna has yet to be picked by any team at VCT LOCK//IN. Surprisingly, even less commonly seen agents like Yoru and Phoenix have been chosen at least once during the event, as revealed by data from THESPIKE.gg.

The Changing Meta and Agent Picks

The competitive meta has undergone significant changes in recent months, leading to a decline in Chamber’s pick rate. Chamber has been selected a few times, accounting for only 8.33 percent of picks. Meanwhile, the Sentinel agent Killjoy has emerged as the most favored pick, with a play rate of 66.67 percent at the event.

The Least Played Agents

So far, the least played agents in the tournament include Yoru, Harbor, and Phoenix. However, Cloud9’s Zellsis managed to surprise everyone by picking Phoenix and achieving an average combat score of 255 in their match against Paper Rex, resulting in a 13-4 victory.

Reyna’s Limitations and Recent Changes

Reyna is not considered one of the most viable agents in competitive play due to her limited team utility. Her flash ability, Leer, is her only supportive skill, but it can be destroyed unlike other flashes that have to be dodged. In Patch 5.07, Reyna’s Leer was modified to remove the distance restriction, allowing her to blind enemies from any distance. However, the flash’s duration was reduced to balance this buff.

Upcoming Matches

VCT LOCK//IN will continue tomorrow with Giants taking on NRG, and LOUD facing Karmine Corp.
