One statistic confirms VALORANT Champions MVP Demon1’s status as the world’s top rifler

Meet Demon1: The Rising Star of North American VALORANT

The pro VALORANT scene has witnessed the emergence of several new stars, and one player stands out as the best in the region and the world when it comes to rifling.

Max “Demon1” Mazanov has proven himself to be a formidable opponent in rifle-on-rifle encounters, winning an impressive 59 percent of his total engagements, according to RIB.gg, a leading stats aggregator. In fact, Demon1 has had the most total engagements in this category, surpassing even renowned players like Fnatic’s Emir “Alfajer” Beder and Natus Vincere’s Dmitry “SUYGETSU” Ilyushin.

Before joining Evil Geniuses, the 21-year-old had limited exposure to top-tier competition, having played with only one other team in his short career. Despite his relative inexperience, Demon1 quickly became an indispensable member of the roster and won the hearts of NA fans.

As time went on, Demon1 established himself as one of the best and most feared gunners in the region. He had one of the highest average combat scores in VCT Americas this year. His skill and dedication helped Evil Geniuses secure the runner-up spot at Masters Tokyo, and he went on to become the MVP of the VALORANT Champions tournament.

During the VALORANT Champions event, Demon1 took his performance to another level. He averaged an impressive 20 kills per map and had an extraordinary 246 ACS, according to Liquipedia. He ranked second in kills, just behind the superstar duelist Erick “aspas” Santos, and boasted a tournament-leading headshot rate of 39 percent.

Looking ahead, Demon1 has to continue building upon his success as teams evolve and new star-studded rosters take shape in preparation for the upcoming season.
