NRG signs ‘all good’ IGL for VCT 2023 roster

NRG Announces New VALORANT Lineup for 2023

NRG has quickly unveiled the leadership for its 2023 VALORANT roster during the org’s “roster reveal week.” Following the recent addition of coach Chet Singh, the VCT Americas partnered team has now confirmed the reports and brought in highly respected in-game leader Pujan “FNS” Mehta, formerly of OpTic Gaming.

FNS Joins NRG as In-Game Leader

The 30-year-old FNS joins NRG for the first time after spending his entire VALORANT career with the Envy/OpTic group. Sources have revealed that FNS and Chet won’t be the only ones making the move from OpTic to NRG. Longtime teammates Victor Wong, Austin “crashies” Robert, Sam “s0m” Oh, and former FPX player Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks are also expected to be announced as members of the NRG roster this week.

NRG Roster Changes and Ardiis’ Impending Arrival

Interestingly, all of Ardiis’ former FPX teammates have already signed with EMEA-partnered team Natus Vincere. The official announcement suggests that Ardiis will be joining NRG soon, stating that he will “continue his career in a different region.” Ardiis is expected to fill the roles previously held by Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker, who recently signed with Cloud9.

NRG Gears Up for the VCT 2023 Kickoff

The OpTic core, including FNS, is making the move to NRG after a successful year. The team achieved top-three finishes in every international event they attended, including a victory at Masters Reykjavík and a grand finals run at Champions 2022. The rest of the NRG roster will be announced throughout the week. Evil Geniuses will be the only North American partnered team yet to reveal their lineup for the upcoming season. In February, all 30 partnered teams from the three global leagues will compete in the VCT 2023 Kickoff event in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
