New Sixth Man Thwifo Set to Join Prominent VALORANT Team

Former T1 Player Thwifo Joins NRG Ahead of VALORANT International League

According to multiple sources, former T1 player Zander “thwifo” Kim is set to join NRG before the start of the VALORANT international league next year. Thwifo will be the sixth member of the roster, meeting Riot Games’ requirement for a minimum of six players.

In order to compete in the international leagues next year, teams are obligated to have at least six players and can have a maximum of 10 players.

Thwifo, known as one of the top initiators in North America, found himself without a team after T1 moved to the Asia region. While T1 will now compete as a Korean team based in Seoul, South Korea, NRG was chosen to represent the North American region in the international league.

NRG has rebuilt its VALORANT roster, with most of the players from the starting roster being replaced. It is expected that Sam “s0m” Oh will remain on the team, while NRG has signed three former OpTic players and one former FPX player. The roster will be led by former OpTic coach Chet Singh. The additions of Pujan “FNS” Mehta, Austin “crashies” Roberts, Victor Wong, and Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks to the team are set to be announced soon.
