NA VALORANT Challengers top seed recruits former Sentinels head coach

Former Sentinels Coach Joins M80 as Vice President of Esports

Don “SyykoNT” Muir, the former head coach of Sentinels and XSET, has been appointed as M80’s Vice President of Esports. In his new role, SyykoNT will oversee M80’s VALORANT team as they aim to win Ascension in Brazil and secure a spot in the franchised league.

A Reconnection for SyykoNT

SyykoNT’s expertise in esports extends beyond coaching, as he will now be responsible for M80’s esports efforts across various games including VALORANT, Rainbow Six: Siege, and Street Fighter. This appointment also marks a reunion for SyykoNT, as M80’s founder and CEO, Marco Mereu, was previously the co-founder and COO of XSET.

Recognition and Support for SyykoNT

Mereu expressed his confidence in SyykoNT’s ability to build and lead championship-caliber teams, emphasizing that SyykoNT’s addition will contribute to M80’s ongoing competitive success. M80 aims to excel in their current titles and expand into new ones, with SyykoNT’s talent-spotting and support capabilities playing a vital role.

Returning to the Scene

SyykoNT’s stint with XSET was commendable, culminating in a top-six finish at Champions 2022. Joining Sentinels as head coach for the 2023 season, SyykoNT oversaw significant off-season signings, including notable Brazilian players. However, due to overall poor team performances, SyykoNT left the organization. Now, he returns with an even bigger role at M80.

Muir expressed his excitement to work alongside Mereu again and contribute to M80’s growth. With pivotal moments approaching for M80’s teams, SyykoNT is determined to ensure their success.

Next Steps for M80

Under SyykoNT’s guidance, M80’s focus now shifts to their VALORANT team competing in the VCT Ascension Americas tournament in Brazil, commencing on June 30.
