Killjoy Takes Over Official VALORANT Twitter Accounts
The German genius of VALORANT, Killjoy, is causing a stir on social media today. She has hacked into the official VALORANT Twitter accounts for various regions, including the primary account @PlayVALORANT. This includes accounts for Latin America, Spain, Turkey, France, and Russia.
In each of these accounts, Killjoy has changed the profile name, avatar, profile banner, and profile description. Her new description reads: “Tactics beat firepower. Don’t overthink it, that’s my job! My genius doesn’t stop in the lab!” Additionally, Killjoy has shared a selfie of herself at a concert.
Given Killjoy’s technological expertise, she is the most likely agent to pull off a takeover like this. In the lore of VALORANT, a mirrored version of Killjoy is believed to have invented the explosive Spike device, although this Twitter takeover is far less malicious.
As for what this “hacking” means for VALORANT, we can only speculate at this time. VALORANT lore expert Cynprel suggests that it may be connected to the missing “Agent 8” and could be part of the lead-up to the new agent teased on Breeze. Each released agent is assigned a number, but the number eight has been skipped even as new agents have been introduced.
