Morgausse Resigns from Rogue, Exits Fortnite, and Reveals Aspirations to Pursue Pro Career in VALORANT

Austin “Morgausse” Etue Transitions from Fortnite to Valorant

Professional Fortnite player Austin “Morgausse” Etue has made the decision to leave the battle royale game behind and pursue a career in the professional Valorant scene. After two successful years with Rogue, Morgausse is ready to take on the new challenges and opportunities that Valorant has to offer.

Morgausse first made a name for himself in the pro Fortnite world when he emerged as the victor during the final round of the 2018 Summer Skirmish at PAX West. His win not only earned him $225,000 but also solidified his place among some of the biggest names in the industry, like Ghost Gaming’s Timothy “Bizzle” Miller, FaZe Clan’s Nate Hill, and Team Liquid’s Thomas “72hrs” Mulligan.

Unfortunately, Morgausse’s success in Fortnite dwindled in the following years. He experienced several disappointments due to Epic Games’ failure to address community-wide complaints about the game and its systems. Frustrated by the lack of fixes for long-standing bugs and the imbalance of aim assist, Morgausse found that Fortnite was no longer a competitive game.

In a statement, Morgausse explained, “Epic Games has failed to maintain a truly competitive environment, and it has slowly made me hate the game as time went on. Fortnite is simply not competitive due to unchecked bugs, ridiculously overpowered aim assist, and poor communication with the competitive scene.”

In addition to leaving Fortnite, Morgausse also revealed his departure from Rogue as he sets his sights on joining a new team in the Valorant scene. With the official release of Valorant approaching this summer, many organizations are already assembling their own squads in anticipation of the growing esport.

This 20-year-old esports player has already expressed his unprecedented motivation and excitement for Valorant’s competitive scene. Morgausse is eager to immerse himself in Riot Games’ new tactical shooter and make a name for himself once again.
