MoonMoon’s untimely weapon swap in VALORANT causes trouble.

The Eclectic Mix of Content Creators in the VALORANT Beta

The VALORANT beta has attracted a diverse range of content creators on Twitch. While many viewers have been tuning in to influencers with experience in CS:GO, there are also broadcasters from other backgrounds playing the game.

MoonMoon’s Transition from Overwatch to VALORANT

MoonMoon gained popularity as an Overwatch streamer after the game’s release in 2016. However, when many content creators left Overwatch to compete in the Overwatch League, he started playing a variety of games to keep things fresh.

MoonMoon’s Lesson in the Nuances of VALORANT

Although MoonMoon doesn’t typically compete for viewers in oversaturated categories, it was hard for him to resist trying out VALORANT. With little experience in CS:GO, MoonMoon faced a challenging learning curve in this slower, tactical shooter.

During one round, MoonMoon camped in a corner of the map, patiently waiting for an unsuspecting opponent. However, when he momentarily let his guard down to switch weapons, an enemy passed by with their back exposed and quickly eliminated him. Despite waiting for almost a full minute, he never had the chance to surprise the opposing player due to the weapon switch delay.

“As soon as I switch, as soon as I switch,” he exclaimed. “I sit there for one freaking minute, dude, and I’m like, ‘I’m just going to toss this over there, and we’re good.’”

However, MoonMoon is likely to improve over time. During his nearly nine-hour stream yesterday, the former Overwatch player averaged 16,191 viewers, according to Twitch statistics website SullyGnome.
