Moist face obstacle on the path to NA VALORANT Challengers Mid-Season Faceoff

Disguised Toast’s Team Makes It to Mid-Season Faceoff

Disguised Toast’s team has already secured a spot at the Mid-Season Faceoff in the NA VALORANT Challengers League. Despite a defeat by M80 in week four, their 2-2 record is enough to qualify, as both MAD Lions and OREsports have yet to secure a win.

Moist Moguls Aim for Mid-Season Faceoff

Moist Moguls have not yet qualified for the Mid-Season Faceoff, but they still have a chance after a disappointing week three performance.

In order for Moist to secure their spot in the Mid-Season Faceoff, all they need to do is win their upcoming match against FaZe Clan on Thursday, March 16. With FaZe, Turtle Troop, and Oxygen all sitting at 2-2 and facing each other in the final week, a victory for Moist would guarantee them a higher placement than at least two other teams.

Moist goes into the FaZe match with momentum after a three-map series victory against Shopify Rebellion, while FaZe suffered a decisive defeat against Oxygen in week four.

If Moist loses, they still have a chance to make it to the Mid-Season Faceoff, but it would require several conditions to be met. They would need to lose by a narrow margin, Turtle Troop would have to dominate against Oxygen, and Shopify would have to lose against G2. The standings tiebreakers rely on round differential, so a win for Shopify or a substantial loss for Moist would greatly decrease their chances of advancing to the mid-season bracket.

The Importance of Top Four Finish

A top four finish in the NA VALORANT Challengers League not only earns teams more points at the Mid-Season Faceoff, but also ensures they avoid starting in the lower bracket during playoffs.
