Cloud 9 White Clinches Spot in VALORANT Game Changers Main Event
The North American VCT Game Changers series qualifying rounds concluded with a thrilling weekend of women’s VALORANT. Eight teams have secured their spots in the main event, with Cloud 9 White being the last team to earn their place.
Challenging Start for Cloud 9 White
Cloud 9 White, the three-time defending champions, faced a tough start as they forfeited their first match against Immortals due to arriving late. This forced them into the lower bracket, a position they have never been in before in Game Changers.
Intense Duel in Misfits vs. Cloud 9 White Match
In their match against Misfits Black, C9W encountered a strong opponent. The most exciting part of the game was the showdown between MeL of C9W and Vernina of Misfits. Although MeL has an impressive track record in women’s VALORANT, Vernina proved to be a formidable opponent by winning the Chamber duel multiple times.
Misfits Prevail in Fracture, C9W Dominates on Haven and Bind
The first half of the Fracture map ended in a tie, but Misfits showcased their ability to read C9W’s strategies. Despite some successful rounds for C9W, Misfits took the map 13-10. However, C9W made a comeback on Haven, demonstrating their dominance on attack and securing a 13-4 victory. The same story continued on Bind, with C9W overpowering Misfits and winning 13-5.
C9W and Dignitas, TSM X, Immortals, Shopify Rebellion, Dart Monkeys, Ariana Grande Perfume, and Sanri-O’s will advance to the main event. Notable absences from the event include CLG Red, XSET, Version X, and Gen.G Black, who were eliminated in the Closed Qualifier stage.
