Marved intends to go on a hiatus from VALORANT

OpTic Gaming’s VALORANT Star Marved Delays Joining VCT Partner Team

Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen, the star player for OpTic Gaming’s VALORANT team, has decided to delay joining a VCT partner team for now.

Following OpTic’s failure to secure a spot in the partnership program, Marved’s future has been uncertain. However, in a recent stream, the 22-year-old revealed that he has received offers from several teams. Despite this, he has no plans to move to Los Angeles, where the VALORANT Americas league will be held. Marved wants to take a break and address personal matters at home, viewing the past year as exhausting.

Marved stated, “I want to stay at home, I don’t want to move to LA yet. I have obligations and things I need to take care of here. Last year was quite exhausting for me. With franchising, you have to move to Los Angeles, and the timing isn’t right for me at the moment. I’m still young.”

Marved’s stream features an automatic reply message that addresses inquiries about his professional VALORANT career. In the message, he mentions that he has been experiencing burnout for quite some time.

The automatic reply reads, “With feelings of being burnt out for a while, my current life situation with family, friends, and loved ones, and also with how much traveling needs to be done, I have decided as of right now to take a break. That does not mean I am done.”

As Marved’s future in VALORANT remains unclear, his former teammate Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker has joined Cloud9, and sources suggest that Pujan “FNS” Mehta, Victor Wong, Austin “crashies” Roberts, and coach Chet Singh are close to signing with NRG, according to .
