Sentinels, the favored team, was stunned by Luminosity Gaming, and as a result, they have been sent down to the lower bracket. The first map of the series indicated a close competition as Luminosity needed overtime to secure their victory on the map Icebox.

Both teams displayed impressive defensive strategies during the first half, but it was Brady “thief” Dever’s extraordinary performance in overtime that made all the difference. His exceptional 4K in the final round broke the tie and led Luminosity to victory.

Luminosity appeared to be cruising to a quick series win as they dominated the first half of map two, Split, taking nine rounds and winning the second-half pistol. However, Sentinels managed to mount a comeback, but Luminosity held on and secured a 13-9 victory in map two. Thief once again led the way for his team with 20 kills.

This victory adds to the momentum of the Luminosity roster, who previously finished 3rd at the NSG x Complexity Invitational and claimed first place at the NSG Winter Championship. Notably, their win at the Winter Championship was against Sentinels in a nail-biting five-map series.

The defeat for Sentinels means they will now face the loser of the Team Envy/Andbox match in an elimination series in the lower bracket. Luminosity, on the other hand, will take on the winner of that match.
