Long-awaited VALORANT buffs arriving for Deadlock after 5 months of average performance

After months of poor performance, Deadlock, the VALORANT agent from Norway, will finally receive a buff in Patch 7.10. Despite being released in June, Deadlock was never picked in the VCT Champions tournament in August, and her pick rates remain low in casual play. However, Riot has announced that Deadlock buffs are on the way.

Riot community lead Jeff Landa confirmed the news on Twitter, sharing a TikTok video that showcases the upcoming changes to Deadlock’s abilities. The video reveals an improvement to her GravNet ability, allowing players caught in the trap to manually remove it from their bodies. This gives Deadlock and her team more opportunities to capitalize on trapped enemies. The removal process now takes 1.5 seconds, compared to the previous 0.8 seconds. Additionally, agents like Jett will be unable to use their movement abilities to escape the GravNet. The size, durability, and impact of the GravNet will also be increased.

These changes are promising for aspiring Deadlock mains and should improve her overall effectiveness. However, it remains to be seen if the patch will address other issues with Deadlock’s abilities, such as the Sound Sensor. Players can expect the full patch notes for VALORANT 7.10 soon.
