Luminosity Gaming has been making waves in the competitive gaming scene with their recent success in the NA VALORANT Champions Tour Masters One. According to the team’s player Alex “aproto” Protopapas, their two new teammates, Diondre “YaBoiDre” Bond and Kaleb “moose” Jayne, have played a significant role in their achievements.
The organization officially signed Bond and Jayne in late February after a short trial period. Since then, Luminosity has been on a winning streak, defeating top-tier teams like Envy, Sentinels, and 100 Thieves during the VCT Challengers circuit. Aproto credits YaBoiDre and moose for bringing exactly what the team needed.
Impressive Performance by YaBoiDre and Moose
YaBoiDre made a tremendous impact on the team, providing the firepower they were lacking in their previous roster. He led the team to a remarkable victory over TSM, earning the match MVP title with an impressive 42 kills and 36% headshot percentage. As for moose, aproto describes him as “fucking nuts now,” noting his rapid growth since joining the team. He has shown exceptional skill with the character Sova and continues to improve daily.
Taking on the Competition
Luminosity’s recent victory over Immortals in the Masters One lower bracket is a significant achievement. Not only did it break their five-game loss streak against Immortals, but it also secures their spot in Masters for another day. The team will face the loser of the upcoming Envy versus FaZe Clan match on March 19. Aproto expressed a preference for competing against Envy, as he believes their playstyle aligns better with Luminosity’s.
