Leaked: Unveiling the Stunning New VALORANT Map – Sunset

Riot Games’ VALORANT May Be Heading to Los Angeles with New Map “Sunset”

If you’ve been eagerly waiting for a sneak peek of the next location in VALORANT’s collection of maps, your wait may soon be over. According to leaked information, Riot Games’ popular first-person shooter is rumored to be introducing a new map called “Sunset,” set on the sandy shores of Los Angeles.

The leaked screenshot of the map, shared by Twitter user ValorLeaks, reveals a stunning combination of classic Mission Revival architecture found in sunny L.A. The buildings depicted in the image capture the essence of older aesthetics blended with new designs.

The map also features various landmarks, including a theater with a prominent “sunset” sign on its exterior and a partially destroyed building supported by an unknown force. Additionally, there is a basketball court, multiple levels, staircases, and numerous angles that players will need to check and navigate.

According to ValorLeaks, “Sunset” will have two sites and won’t include any movement gimmicks like teleporters, doors, or massive ziplines found in previous maps. The outcome of matches on this map will rely solely on gameplay strategies, causing excitement among players who are eager for a fresh map with new dynamics.

These rumors were sparked by the release of the Golden Hour player card, which showcased palm trees and Mission Revival-style homes, hinting at a potential Los Angeles map. Riot has a history of teasing upcoming content through battle pass player cards, and it seems that this trend will continue.

These speculations were further supported by a trailer featuring the in-game characters Cypher and Deadlock discussing the movements of Kingdom Laboratories. During the discussion, Cypher briefly displayed a map on his monitors. Internet sleuths quickly discovered that the area depicted in the map perfectly matched a location near Long Beach, just outside of L.A.

The official announcement for the new map, “Sunset,” is expected to be made during the 2023 VALORANT Champions pre-show prior to the grand finals on Saturday, August 26.
