‘Leading VALORANT Coach Anticipates Emergence of Future Superstars in New Premier Mode’

Riot Announces New Premier Mode for VALORANT

Riot released news about the upcoming Premier mode in VALORANT, which according to LOUD head coach Daniel “fRoD” Montaner, will be the breeding ground for the game’s future superstars. The announcement came before the intense lower bracket finals match between LOUD and Evil Geniuses in the VALORANT Champions tournament.

Coach fRoD: Premier Mode to Prepare Players for Pro Play

FPS esports veteran and LOUD head coach, fRoD, shared his thoughts on the new Premier mode in a post-game press conference. He praised the mode’s structured format, stating that it will better prepare players for professional play compared to the standard ranked mode. While individual skill is important in VALORANT, fRoD emphasized the significance of teamwork and experience in facing coordinated opponents. He believed that playing too much ranked or casual matches might hinder the development of essential skills needed to compete at a higher level.

Premier Mode: A Platform for Discovering New Talent

fRoD also pointed out that Premier mode will be an excellent opportunity for new, young talent to shine. He expressed optimism about the future of the pro scene, stating that Premier’s format will likely contribute to the discovery of the game’s next superstars.

Premier Mode: The Future of VALORANT Tournaments

Premier will serve as VALORANT‘s new tournament system, featuring divisions and categories within each region. The highest category to climb to is Contender, where teams will have the chance to compete in open qualifiers for VALORANT Challengers starting in the first quarter of 2024. By the end of the year, all new teams will be required to participate in Premier before advancing to Challengers.

While we anticipate the new Premier mode, the VALORANT Champions tournament continues as LOUD faced defeat against Evil Geniuses in a thrilling five-map series. Despite giving their best performance on their favored map, Bind, LOUD couldn’t secure a victory. Evil Geniuses emerged victorious and will face Paper Rex in the grand final.
