DRX Vision Strikers Transfers VALORANT Player Lakia to Japanese Team IGZIST

DRX Vision Strikers has transferred VALORANT player Kim “Lakia” Jong-min to Japanese team IGZIST, the organizations revealed today.

New Opportunities for Lakia in the Asia-Pacific Region

Lakia will compete in the Asia-Pacific region, where teams like Team Secret and FULL SENSE have made their mark on the international stage. Both teams participated in VALORANT Champions, which concluded in December 2021.

Lakia Joins IGZIST’s Starting Roster

Fans of Lakia will have more chances to see him in action as he joins IGZIST’s starting roster. Previously, as part of DRX Vision Strikers, Lakia was often on the sidelines as a substitute.

During Champions, Lakia played one map on Icebox against Fnatic in the winner’s group stage. Fnatic came out on top with a 2-1 victory, securing direct qualification to the knockout stage. DRX Vision Strikers were later defeated by Cloud9, ending their tournament run.

IGZIST Acquires Most of BlackBird Ignis Roster

IGZIST recently acquired the majority of the BlackBird Ignis roster, which had not competed in VALORANT since August of last year. Former player Souta “popogachi” Morita retired, while the rest of the team joined IGZIST since the organization’s announcement on December 9, 2021.

DRX Branding for the Korean VALORANT Champions Tour

DRX Vision Strikers’ parent company eDreamWork Korea was acquired by fellow Korean organization DRX on January 6. The VALORANT team will now follow the DRX branding for the upcoming Korean VALORANT Champions Tour, which begins on February 5 and concludes on March 27.

IGZIST is expected to compete in Stage One: Challengers in Japan, starting on February 15.
