KRÜ Esports Advances to VCT Masters Berlin Playoffs after Victory Over Vivo Keyd
KRÜ Esports secured their spot in the VCT Masters Berlin playoffs by defeating Vivo Keyd in a closely contested two-map series.
In Group B, Vivo Keyd and KRÜ Esports battled it out for one of the two playoff spots in Masters Berlin. Vivo Keyd started off with a 2-0 loss against Envy but managed to stay in the tournament by defeating ZETA Division. KRÜ Esports also secured a victory against ZETA Division in their first match but were pushed to the Decider match by Envy. This set the stage for an exhilarating back-and-forth series in Berlin.
The match started on Split, which was Vivo Keyd’s map pick, but it ended up favoring KRÜ Esports. Vivo Keyd struggled in the early rounds of the first half while KRÜ Esports maintained a tight grip on the game. KRÜ’s keznit made an impressive play with Raze’s paint shells, securing a triple kill and clinching the second round. Vivo Keyd had a strong response, winning four rounds in the first half, but KRÜ ended the half with a 7-5 lead.
The second half was evenly contested, with both teams winning six rounds each. However, KRÜ did enough to edge out a 13-11 victory in the first map, taking a 1-0 lead in the series. The second game was played on Haven, KRÜ Esports’ map pick.
Vivo Keyd refused to give up and came out strong in the first half of Haven, winning eight rounds and making KRÜ Esports work for every victory. Vivo Keyd’s murizzz even pulled off an ace, showcasing the explosive potential of the Brazilian team.
Unfortunately, Vivo Keyd couldn’t maintain their strong performance in the second half and only managed to win three more rounds. KRÜ Esports sealed the series with another 13-11 victory, securing their place in the playoffs and sending Vivo Keyd packing.
KRÜ Esports and Envy will join 100 Thieves, Vision Strikers, Sentinels, and G2 Esports in the Masters Berlin playoffs.
