KRÜ Esports Secures First Win at Masters: Copenhagen

KRÜ Esports achieved their first victory at Masters: Copenhagen by completing a reverse sweep against LOUD. The Latin American team demonstrated their expertise in LAN events and aims to make it to the grand finals. With a win against LOUD in Group A, KRÜ Esports moves closer to the playoffs.

LOUD selected Fracture as the first map in the best of three series. Although they initially took an 8-4 lead in the first half, they struggled to keep KRÜ Esports at bay in the second half. The teams traded rounds back and forth, resulting in a tied score of 10-10. LOUD managed to pull ahead and win the map by 13-10. Matias “saadhak” Delipetro showcased the prowess of a battle Sage, finishing with a 1.66 KD and 328 ACS.

Haven was another closely contested map, but this time KRÜ Esports took the lead and emerged as the winners. Since winning their map pick was crucial to stay in the series after a close map on Fracture, KRÜ Esports delivered an impressive performance. Angelo “keznit” Mori played a crucial role as Raze, creating space for his teammates and ending the game with a 1.6 KD. Despite LOUD’s attempt at a comeback, KRÜ Esports secured a 13-9 victory.

Similar to the previous maps, the decision map on Icebox remained closely contested, with both teams trading leads throughout the match. However, towards the end of the second half, KRÜ Esports managed to win six consecutive rounds, effectively shutting down LOUD and completing the reverse sweep for their first win of the tournament.
