Keiko’s Decision for VCT EMEA Team Still Up in the Air

Team Liquid Possibly Acquires Rising Talent Keiko for VALORANT Champions Tour

End-of-season player trading can shake up any league, and the VALORANT Champions Tour is no different. Amidst the ongoing franchising spot drama, Team Liquid seems to have made a strong move for their next season roster, potentially acquiring talented player Georgio “Keiko” Sanassy.

According to sources, such as Valorant insider Alejandro “anonimotum” Gomis, Keiko has been courted by several VCT EMEA teams. It is reported that he has accepted a tentative verbal agreement with Team Liquid for the 2023-2024 season. However, it is important to note that no official contract has been signed, and no financial transactions have taken place yet. This means that Keiko still has the option to change his mind and consider other offers.

Team Liquid’s pursuit of fresh talent for the next season is not surprising, considering they are losing Dom “soulcas” Sulcas to free agency and Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel to Team Vitality. Replacing these key players is their primary concern. While it remains to be seen if young talent like Keiko can fill their shoes, his track record speaks for itself. However, Team Liquid will likely make more new signings, as the loss of Sayf is a major setback for their VCT prospects.

Despite the uncertainty, Keiko’s potential addition to Team Liquid is significant. Only time will tell if this verbal agreement will come to fruition or if Keiko will surprise everyone and choose another team.
