Karmine Corp’s Shockingly Poor Performance in VCT EMEA Leaves Fans Baffled

Karmine Corp Struggles in VCT EMEA 2023

Fnatic, Liquid, and NAVI are performing well in the VCT EMEA 2023, as expected. However, the biggest surprise of the season so far is the underwhelming performance of the Karmine Corp VALORANT roster.

Karmine Corp currently sits in the bottom four of the standings, ranking ninth and outside of the VCT EMEA playoff picture. Their poor performance can be exemplified by their -34 round differential, which is equal to the combined round differential of the other teams in the bottom four (Heretics, KOI, and BBL).

Karmine Corp has won the least total rounds in the league, with only 46 rounds. In comparison, BBL Esports, the team in last place with an 0-3 record, has won 33 more rounds than Karmine Corp, despite having only one more map loss.

The numbers speak for themselves, but Karmine Corp has also failed the eye test with numerous mistakes. They made critical errors in their loss to Team Liquid, such as late pivots, questionable buys that hurt their economy, and throwing away man advantages.

One notable mistake was Nivera forgetting to buy after celebrating a second-half pistol round win that prevented Liquid from winning Karmine Corp’s pick of Split with a 13-0 score. Adding insult to injury, Karmine Corp’s loss to Liquid was the most-watched EMEA VCT match in week two, according to Esports Charts.

The players themselves acknowledge that something needs to change. After the match, ScreaM, the team’s in-game leader, described the team’s state as “a disaster” and mentioned the lack of individual confidence. However, ScreaM expressed his belief in himself and his teammates, while appealing for much-needed support from the fans.

For their upcoming matches, Karmine Corp will depend on the support of their fans as they face Vitality and NAVI in the next couple of weeks.
