JoshOG confesses to becoming uninterested due to the limited map pool in VALORANT

VALORANT Streamers Express Boredom Due to Lack of Map Variety

Twitch streamer JoshOG recently took to Twitter to express his growing boredom with playing VALORANT. He specifically mentioned the lack of map variety in the game as the primary reason for his fatigue.

“I’ll be the one to say it… VALORANT is getting boring playing the same three maps over and over and over and over,” he stated.

VALORANT currently offers 10 playable characters, three maps, and a variety of guns in each weapon category. While this may appear to be sufficient variety for most gamers, dedicated streamers like JoshOG have spent an extensive amount of time playing the game since its beta launch, resulting in a sense of monotony.

In the past 14 days, Josh has dedicated 122 hours of streaming to VALORANT alone. With an average of 7,135 viewers, his streams have accumulated over one million hours of watch time during that period.

It’s worth noting that Josh is not the only streamer experiencing this sense of boredom. Over 150 streamers have dedicated more airtime to VALORANT than him. While some have inflated airtime due to reruns disguised as livestreams, many have genuinely played VALORANT live for similar durations.

Riot Games is expected to address this issue by introducing new maps, characters, and items to VALORANT as the closed beta progresses. Until then, the excessive airtime of many streams may contribute to VALORANT fatigue among viewers.
