Jett players discover new tactic: Slingshotting with Ice Box ropes

Exciting New Trick Discovered on Ice Box Map in VALORANT

The latest addition to the VALORANT map pool, Ice Box, has introduced an interesting feature: ropes that players can utilize to reach elevated positions or other areas quickly. One player has recently discovered a unique way to combine these ropes with Jett’s Dash ability, creating a slingshot effect on B site.

In a video shared by the player, they can be seen using Jett’s Dash ability while grabbing onto a rope on B site. After using the Dash ability, instead of moving backward as usual, they were launched forward. This allowed them to swiftly move from B Yellow to B Orange, catching enemy players off guard.

The technique also works when dashing forward and even when Jett’s ultimate ability is active. Moreover, players can bunny hop after being launched to maintain their speed if they time the hop correctly.

Combining the Dash ability with the ropes makes Jett extremely difficult to counter. It can potentially save Jett players from sticky situations or enable them to rotate between sites swiftly. Although there may be less space around the zip lines on A site, it is still possible to perform this movement trick.

It remains unclear whether this was an intentional design by Riot Games or a newly discovered mechanic. Nevertheless, Jett players should take advantage of this maneuver to surprise enemies on B site and enhance their rotation speed.
