Japanese Duo Allegedly Secures VALORANT Partnership Spots in VCT Asia League

ZETA DIVISION and DetonatioN Gaming Join 2023 VCT Asia Partnership League

ZETA DIVISION and DetonatioN Gaming have been confirmed as participants in the upcoming 2023 VCT Asia partnership league organized by Riot Games, according to a report by VLR’s Seulgi.

Seulgi also mentioned that Japanese organizations Sengoku, FAV, FENNEL, Crazy Raccoon, and REJECT did not make it into the franchising program.

Gen.G and T1 Secure Spots in the Asia Partnership League

In addition to ZETA DIVISION and DetonatioN, ‘ George Geddes confirmed that Gen.G and T1 have secured spots in the Asia partnership league. Blix also reported T1’s acceptance into the league. With these four spots confirmed, there remain only six spots that have not been revealed to the public yet.

ZETA Shows Strong Performance in VALORANT Champions 2022

ZETA DIVISION finished in the top 12 in VALORANT Champions 2022 and notably secured third place in VCT Masters Reykjavík. On the other hand, DetonatioN Gaming did not participate in any international VALORANT tournaments this year.

Spots Allocation in the Asia Partnership League

The exact distribution of spots in the Asia partnership league is still unclear. It is speculated that the league could feature four Korean teams, two Japanese teams, and four teams from South East Asia and South Asia combined. However, it is also possible that the league will consist of three Korean teams and three Japanese teams.

Riot is planning to officially announce all 30 VALORANT teams participating in the partnership program today. It has been reported that Sentinels, NRG, Cloud9, 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, LOUD, FURIA, KRÜ, Leviatán, and MIBR have earned spots in the Americas league. In the EMEA league, KOI, Karmine Korp, Fnatic, Vitality, Natus Vincere, Heretics, BBL Esports, Giants, and Team Liquid are believed to have been accepted.
