Jamppi signs lucrative 3-year contract as key player for Team Liquid VALORANT

Team Liquid Extends Contract with Jamppi for Three More Years

Team Liquid is taking steps to ensure its long-term competitive success in the VALORANT scene by re-signing key player Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen. The new three-year contract extension will keep Jamppi with Liquid until 2026, giving the team stability and valuable expertise. Previously, Jamppi’s contract was set to expire at the end of this season.

In addition to Jamppi, other Liquid players, including nAts, have also signed deals that will keep them with the team until 2026. Sayf, the team’s primary duelist, is locked in until 2025, while Redgar and soulcas are signed through 2024.

Although Team Liquid has yet to win an international VALORANT trophy, they did claim the VCT EMEA season trophy this year. Jamppi, known as one of the best initiator players in the EMEA region, helped lead Liquid to a victory against Fnatic in the grand finals of the EMEA playoffs. This was Fnatic’s only series loss of the entire year.

Leading up to Champions, Liquid’s first match against Natus Vincere saw Jamppi displaying his versatile agent pool, including Neon and a surprising Chamber pick. Despite a close two-map series loss, Liquid proved their capability in the tough “Group of Death,” which also includes LOUD and DRX.

To compete for a world championship this year, Liquid and Jamppi will need to deliver a strong performance against the reigning champions, LOUD, in a do-or-die match on Thursday, Aug. 10 at 2pm CT.
