Jamppi joins Team Liquid’s VALORANT roster

Team Liquid Acquires Jamppi for VALORANT Team

Team Liquid officially announced the acquisition of Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen for their VALORANT team.

Jamppi, who previously competed in CS:GO, made the transition to VALORANT following a lengthy legal battle with Valve. The dispute revolved around a VAC ban that Jamppi claimed was falsely attributed to his account. He sought monetary compensation for lost earnings and the removal of the ban, arguing that he had lent the account to a friend at the time of the ban.

Jamppi’s addition to Team Liquid’s VALORANT roster is expected to have an immediate positive impact due to his previous experience in CS.

Team Liquid has recently faced challenges, disappointing both fans and analysts with early exits in the VCT Challengers tournaments. They were unable to advance beyond the open portion of the qualifying rounds in VCT Challengers Two and fell short in the quarterfinals of First Strike Europe.

“I hope I can bring this team up to new levels, and I think it’s going to be very effective for us,” said Jamppi in Liquid’s announcement. He also mentioned that he will be taking on the Jett/Operator role within the team, replacing Adam “ec1s” Eccles.

With the addition of Jamppi, Team Liquid’s VALORANT roster now consists of Dom “soulcas” Sulcas, James “Kryptix” Affleck, Travis “L1NK” Mendoza, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, and Jamppi.
