It’s time for alternate agent outfits: Reflecting on the new VALORANT cinematic

VALORANT 2023: New Agents, Maps, and More

Exciting things are in store for VALORANT in 2023. Players can look forward to new agents and maps, as well as fresh game modes for competitive and casual play. And of course, there will be a wide range of new cosmetics, including weapon skins, sprays, player cards, and gun buddies.

In recent times, the game has seen a wave of new items hitting the store and battle pass levels. Some of the hottest commodities in the entire game are the newly released bundles that contain a handful of new skins and other items. As VALORANT continues to grow, it’s not surprising that Riot is exploring new opportunities to sell in-game items to players. It’s time for the next step.

Riot should consider releasing alternate outfits or skins for its roster of VALORANT agents this year. Character customization is a popular feature in many multiplayer games, and VALORANT should join in. There’s certainly a financial incentive, as Riot has already generated billions of dollars in revenue through the purchase of skins.

CS:GO introduced detailed and customized agents to replace the default CT and T models, seven years after the game’s release. VALORANT doesn’t have to wait that long. After watching the latest story cinematic for Episode Six, Act One, it’s clear that there are fresh ideas to explore.

Sage’s Training Gear

Sage’s white and green outer coat emphasizes her role as a healer. However, she deserves her own unique look. A simplified training gear outfit with a white T-shirt and Kevlar vest would be the perfect alternative for Sage players who offer more than just healing support.

Casual Looks for Raze, Jett, and Killjoy

Jett, Raze, and Killjoy all have casual outfits that would look great in-game. Jett rocks a big comfy hoodie, and her Blade Storm knife would be awesome as a necklace. Additionally, the cute frog variant of Killjoy’s outfit is a must-have. If VALORANT players get to dress comfortably while playing, why shouldn’t the agents have the same treatment?

It’s in the Cards

Inspiration for alternate outfits can also be drawn from player cards and banners in the game. Various cards showcase good ideas, such as a Dia De Los Muertos-themed Reyna outfit or Halloween costumes for Sage and Omen. There are plenty of possibilities to explore.

The incentive is there, and the ideas are flowing. 2023 is the year to make it happen!
