It takes players approximately 41 hours to complete VALORANT on Xbox Game Pass

VALORANT: Can You Really “Beat” the Game in Just 41 Hours?

You may be surprised to learn that you can actually “beat” VALORANT. Despite players spending countless hours in the game without reaching a finish line, the Xbox Game Pass listing suggests that it should have been possible within around 41 hours.

VALORANT is one of the Riot Games titles that recently arrived on the Game Pass service. While games like VALORANT and League of Legends are free-to-play, Game Pass subscribers can enjoy instant access to all characters, XP boosts, and other perks.

The Xbox app for PC features a “how long to beat” section for every game, which provides data from the HowLongToBeat website. While it takes over 1,000 hours to complete just the main story of League of Legends and nearly 2,500 hours to fully complete it, VALORANT requires a considerably shorter time of only 41 hours.

Of course, as a multiplayer tactical shooter without a campaign or end-game content, VALORANT cannot be truly “beaten.” However, the source of the 41 hours number remains unclear. The Xbox app’s data is even more confusing when compared to the information on the game’s HowLongToBeat page, which shows an average time of over 58 hours and a top time of 98 hours.

Furthermore, there is no definitive definition of what it means to “beat” VALORANT, unlike most single-player games with campaigns or story modes. Does it entail unlocking all agents through contracts? Or reaching the highest rank of Radiant? Or fully leveling up a battle pass? The answer remains unclear.

At the end of the day, nobody truly knows what it means to “beat” VALORANT. So, if you’ve played for more than 41 hours and still feel like you haven’t achieved anything, don’t be disheartened. That’s just how VALORANT is.
