VALORANT Episode Seven, Act Two: Patch 7.06 Highlights
The latest patch for VALORANT Episode Seven, Act Two is here, bringing some important changes to the game. Patch 7.06 will be available for download on all servers after a short maintenance period starting on September 19.
What’s Included in VALORANT Patch 7.06?
Competitive Update to Counter Botting and Smurfing
Ascendant players will no longer be able to queue with players below Platinum, even in five-stack parties. This update aims to tackle the problem of account sellers using bots to level up new accounts and sell them to smurfs. It also discourages high-Elo VALORANT players from queuing with low-Elo players for easier lobbies or to boost their friends’ ranks.
Riot Games will actively monitor and punish anyone engaging in botting abuse.
Sage Gets Brand-New Voice Lines
Sage, the beloved healer, is finally getting some new voice lines. Patch 7.06 introduces dialogue where Sage addresses various agents, including Jett, Deadlock, Chamber, Astra, Brimstone, Gekko, and more. One of these voice lines even refers to the popular “Jett, Revive me” meme.
Load Times and Gameplay Systems Updates
Improvements have been made to the loading of in-game accessories such as gun buddies and weapon skins, reducing load times. This change will be implemented mid-patch, so players should not expect it to go live on September 19.
The Combat Reports feature has also received backend updates to fix instances where all the correct information wasn’t displaying properly.
Bug Fixes in VALORANT Patch 7.06
Three bug fixes have been implemented for gameplay systems:
- Fixed a rare bug where you would be unintentionally revealed in places where you shouldn’t be seen after purchasing a weapon.
- Fixed an issue where the Spike plant and defuse UI bar did not appear for minimal HUD observers.
- Fixed a bug where vision cones would flicker at the start of a round on Sunset.
