Introducing the Latest Updates: VALORANT Patch 7.04 Patch Notes

In VALORANT’s latest patch, 7.04, there are significant changes to 11 agents’ kits, a new map, and bug fixes. The patch introduces the new competitive Act – Episode Seven, Act Two.

One of the major updates in Patch 7.04 is the changes to the agents. Riot Games revealed the agent changes ahead of the patch release to anticipate the community’s reaction.

Along with the agent updates, there are also UI changes, bug fixes, and the launch of the Premier game mode in Episode Seven, Act Two.

What’s coming in VALORANT Patch 7.04?

Ultimate cost increases

  • Viper’s Pit, Breach’s Rolling Thunder, Brimstone’s Orbital Strike, Killjoy’s Lockdown, Skye’s Seekers, and Jett’s Blade Storm have all increased in ultimate cost.

Major Jett nerfs

Jett’s abilities have been nerfed to make her less powerful in the game.

Crucial Skye nerfs

Skye’s versatile kit has been toned down to bring it into balance with other agents.

Unexpected Astra changes

Astra’s abilities have been adjusted to address unintended power disparities.

Balancing Gekko changes

Gekko’s abilities have been balanced to make them more effective in the right hands.

Subtle Sova, Breach, and Omen changes

Sova, Breach, and Omen have received subtle changes to improve the initiator meta in VALORANT.

Changes to Breeze

Breeze, the island map, has been reintroduced to the active map pool with significant changes.

Sunset is here

Sunset, the 10th map in VALORANT, is now available in Swiftplay mode and will be added to Competitive and Unrated queues with the next patch.

Fracture and Pearl out of the queue

Fracture and Pearl have been rotated out of the Competitive and Unrated map pool to maintain the seven-map constraint.

Player behavior updates

There are multiple UI improvements based on player feedback, including enhancements to the Report UI.

Premier officially launches in Episode Seven, Act Two

The Premier game mode is now officially launched as a permanent mode in VALORANT.

All bug fixes in VALORANT Patch 7.04

The patch includes several bug fixes related to agents, gameplay systems, and the Premier game mode.

Known issues in VALORANT Patch 7.04

There is currently one known issue with Premier’s Overtime Priority vote, which will be addressed in an upcoming patch.
