Immortals Secures Spot in VALORANT VCT NA Challengers 1: Closed Qualifier Grand Finals
Immortals has advanced to the grand finals of the VALORANT VCT NA Challengers 1: Closed Qualifier with a 2-1 victory over Luminosity today.
A Dominating Performance
Immortals started strong with a convincing 13-3 win on Bind. Although they struggled on Ascent, losing 13-7, they made a comeback on Icebox, securing a 13-11 win.
Bind: A Showcase of Skill
In the first map, Immortals outperformed Luminosity at every turn. Andrew “ShoT_UP” Orlowski led the charge with an impressive 16-5-6 KDA. Immortals took an early 5-3 lead and closed the map with eight consecutive round wins.
A Comeback on Icebox
Although they initially fell behind on Icebox, Immortals staged a comeback to seal the victory. At one point, they were down 4-8. ShoT_UP showcased his skills once again, utilizing Reyna’s abilities to secure a one-vs-one victory and eliminate Luminosity.
With this win, Luminosity moves to the lower bracket and will face the winner of Sentinels vs. XSET to determine who will challenge Immortals in the grand finals. All four teams have secured a spot in Challengers 2, where they will have a chance to qualify for the inaugural VALORANT Masters event.
Immortals has been a standout team throughout the tournament, defeating XSET in the quarterfinals and Gen.G in the semifinals to reach the upper finals. Despite facing strong opponents like Sentinels and Envy, few analysts predicted their progression to the grand finals.
