Hiko discusses Yoru and expresses skepticism about his popularity

100 Thieves VALORANT Player Hiko Shares Thoughts on Yoru’s Viability in Professional Play

Recently, 100 Thieves VALORANT player Hiko discussed the effectiveness of Yoru in certain situations during a live stream. However, he expressed uncertainty about whether Yoru will be heavily utilized in professional play.

Yoru, the newest agent in VALORANT, possesses a unique set of abilities that allow players to outmaneuver and confuse the enemy team. As the VALORANT community continues to explore Yoru’s potential, questions arise about his role within the game’s meta and his importance in team compositions.

After experimenting with Yoru in a few matches, Hiko shared his perspective that while Yoru can be useful, he is not convinced that Yoru will consistently be chosen. According to Hiko, Yoru’s abilities can be effective in outplaying enemies, but he sees him as a liability on defense.

“He lacks the ability to stall, only has two flashes, and relies on making quick plays with teleportation, which isn’t terrible but not particularly good,” Hiko said. “Additionally, his fake footsteps can sometimes be too obvious.”

Hiko also acknowledged that players have not yet had sufficient time to master Yoru’s abilities, but he still believes that Yoru will not be frequently chosen.

VALORANT offers a diverse roster of agents with unique abilities for specific roles within team compositions. However, not all agents are suitable for every scenario, and professional teams tend to stick with the same groups of agents in their play.

As of now, it is too early to determine whether Yoru will remain on the sidelines or become a staple in team compositions. Riot Games, the developers of VALORANT, will likely make adjustments to Yoru based on player feedback and his performance in games.
