Streamer Hiko Retires from CS:GO to Join 100 Thieves’ Valorant Team

Popular streamer Spencer “Hiko” Martin has officially retired from professional CS:GO to become the team captain for 100 Thieves’ pro Valorant team. Hiko made the announcement during a recent stream, stating that all of his focus and dedication will now be towards Valorant.

Hiko also confirmed that he will be moving to Los Angeles once the global situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic improves. His plan is to relocate closer to the 100 Thieves headquarters and assist in building a strong Valorant roster to compete in the growing esports scene.

With a career spanning eight years, Hiko is a seasoned veteran in the CS:GO scene, having played for various teams including Cloud9, Team Liquid, and Rogue. He has amassed a large fanbase through his content creation and streaming, making him one of the most popular talents in North America.

Joining the likes of T1, TSM, Sentinels, Gen.G, and Immortals, 100 Thieves is the latest esports organization to venture into the world of Valorant by creating a professional roster. Riot Games has not yet released details about the game’s esports ecosystem, but they have expressed the desire for the scene to grow organically with the support of organizations and fans.
