Guild Esports dominates Alliance in VCT EU Challengers One quarterfinal

Guild Esports Dominates Alliance in VALORANT Challengers Quarterfinals

In a one-sided match, Guild Esports emerged victorious over Alliance in the quarterfinals of EU Challengers One in VALORANT. Guild’s outstanding performance in the series secured them a spot in the next round against Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Guild made a statement in the series opener on Split, with Yacine leading the charge with 23 kills, only nine deaths, and an average combat score of 410. Guild dominated the first half, winning nine consecutive rounds.

Their dominance continued on Haven, as Guild displayed an unstoppable attack in the second half. They did not lose a single attacking round after halftime until they held a 12-5 advantage. Alliance managed to win a defense round on a desperate buy, but Guild swiftly closed out the match, ending it 13-6.

Alliance had a challenging day, only securing 10 rounds across both maps. However, considering they formed as a team in January and made recent changes prior to the VALORANT Champions Tour, it was a tough task. Alliance recently parted ways with krea6on and signed French CS:GO veteran xms on a trial contract before the start of Challengers.

On the other hand, Guild has built a strong roster that has been playing together for over six months. The team, formerly known as Bonk, was signed by the U.K. organization in October last year. Guild has been steadily gaining momentum throughout the VALORANT Champions Tour. Despite a heartbreaking loss in one of the open qualifiers during the first stage, they fought their way to Masters and secured a spot in the semifinals.

The second half of the quarterfinals is set to kick off on April 7, with Heretics facing Opportunists (ex-DfuseTeam) and FunPlus Phoenix taking on Team Vitality.
