Guild Esports Announces Departure of Three VALORANT Players

Guild Esports Parts Ways with VALORANT Representatives

Guild Esports has bid farewell to bonkar, Yacine, and draken, three of its VALORANT representatives. They have been inactive since the end of October.

Tough Season for Guild Esports

The team had a challenging season and failed to achieve success in the VALORANT Champions Tour. In the playoffs of VCT: EMEA Stage Three, the squad reached the quarterfinals but lost their chance to qualify for the Masters Two finals in Berlin.

In the Last Chance Qualifier, Guild Esports came close to securing their spot but lost 1-3 in the final to Team Liquid. Team Liquid claimed one of the last spots in the upcoming VALORANT Champions 2021.

With the team failing to meet expectations, roster changes became unavoidable. All three players were benched simultaneously, and their future with Guild Esports is uncertain.

Draken might be considering a return to CS:GO. He recently tweeted, “passion over money,” which could indicate his desire to return to Valve’s shooter.

He wouldn’t be the only VALORANT pro to do so. Reports have surfaced about nitr0 being in talks with Team Liquid for a CS:GO return, and autimatic is also reportedly considering going back to his roots.

Guild Esports still has two active players, Leo and Sayf. It remains to be seen who the organization will choose for the 2022 season.
