Guide: Unlocking all League champions and VALORANT agents using Game Pass

A New Partnership: Xbox and Riot Games Bring Benefits to Game Pass Subscribers

Xbox and Riot Games have joined forces to bring some exciting perks to Game Pass subscribers who play Riot’s popular titles, such as League of Legends and Valorant. Starting on December 12, Game Pass subscribers will unlock a range of benefits for League, Valorant, Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra.

For League and Valorant players, these benefits will be available from December 12, while Wild Rift players will gain access to them in January. Game Pass subscribers will be able to unlock the entire roster of champions and agents in each game, including day-one access to new characters upon their release. Additionally, subscribers will receive a collection of rewards and perks.

This means access to over 160 champions in League, 18 agents in Valorant, and the upcoming Wild Rift champions that will be available in January 2023, as well as all future characters. If you’re an active or potential Game Pass subscriber looking to enjoy these perks, here’s what you need to do.

Unlocking League Champions and Valorant Agents through Game Pass

To enjoy all the characters, you’ll need an active Game Pass subscription. For the rewards offered by the Xbox-Riot partnership, you will need either an Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription. The first month is only $1, and afterwards, it’s $15 a month for Ultimate or $10 a month for PC. Ultimate combines PC and Xbox Game Pass and provides additional in-game content and perks.

Keep in mind that if your Game Pass membership expires, you will lose your in-game benefits. However, if you renew your membership after linking your Xbox profile to your Riot account, you’ll regain access to those benefits in-game.

Connecting Your Riot Account to a Game Pass Account

To connect your Riot account to your Game Pass account, simply click this link to access the Xbox Social Sign-in Page and allow Riot to access your Xbox account. Sign in with your Riot account credentials, and then visit the Riot connected accounts page to ensure that your Xbox account is properly connected.

Once you’ve connected your accounts, the next time you log into a Riot game with your connected account (starting Dec. 12), you will receive a notification letting you know that you have unlocked benefits. All the content unlocked through your Game Pass membership will be indicated as part of the “Reward Program.” Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for the benefits to appear for users who have recently subscribed to Game Pass.
