Guide: Mastering Sprays in VALORANT

How to Use Sprays in VALORANT

Like many first-person shooters, VALORANT embraces street art by allowing players to adorn its walls with sprays. This feature is not entirely new, as games like Overwatch and CS:GO also incorporate it. However, Riot Games has put its own twist on the mechanic for maximum effect.

To use your spray in VALORANT, simply press the “T” key. If you prefer a different key for quick access to your sprays, you can change it in the game’s Settings menu. Just go to the Controls tab, click on Equipment, and scroll down until you find “Use Spray.” Be sure to choose a key that isn’t already assigned to something else important.

What sets VALORANT’s sprays apart is the ability to adjust them based on the timing of the round. For example, you can start a round with a courteous “GLHF” spray, then change it to a robot chicken in the middle of the round and a salt shaker after the round for maximum impact. Although you can’t have multiple sprays active at the same time, this pre, mid, and post-round feature serves as a clever workaround.

The closed beta for VALORANT is now live, and the official release is scheduled for this summer. So jump in and start spraying!
