Giants decision: Boo, VALORANT in-game leader, benched

Giants Gaming Benches VALORANT Captain Boo

Giants Gaming has benched Ričardas “Boo” Lukaševičius, their VALORANT captain, as announced by the Lithuanian player today.

The roster change comes just five days after Giants were eliminated by Rix.GG in the EU VCT Stage Three: Challengers One open qualifier round of 16, despite being considered the favorites. Boo stated, “Giants VALORANT team needed a change and as a result, I was benched from the active roster,” in a statement where he also thanked his former teammates and coach.

Boo joined Giants’ VALORANT roster on January 16, along with Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer, Aaro “hoody” Peltokangas, and Daniil “pipsoN” Meshcheryakov. The team previously played under the tag Orgless. Giants has had mixed results with their best performance being a semifinal run at the LVP Rising Series Two in June.

Although Boo is still under contract with Giants, he is actively searching for a new team. He expressed interest in joining a team with clear goals, a hardworking environment, and a healthy atmosphere, as he believes he can make a significant contribution. Boo prefers to remain as a captain and is skilled with the agents Sova, Skye, Sage, KAY/O, and Breach.

Currently, Giants’ VALORANT lineup consists of only four players and a coach: Johan “Meddo” Renbjörk, Adolfo “Fit1nho” Gallego, Michał “MOLSI” Łącki, hoody, and pipsoN, who transitioned from playing to a coaching role in May.
