Gen.G returns to VALORANT Game Changers with innovative lineup

Gen.G Esports Enters the VALORANT Game Changers with New International Roster

Gen.G Esports, a popular esports organization, is making its mark in the VALORANT Game Changers scene with the signing of an experimental and international roster called Gen.G Black. This team will be participating in the upcoming open qualifier for a chance to secure a spot in Game Changers Series One.

This is not Gen.G’s first time participating in Game Changers, as they have had a successful history since 2021. The previous Gen.G Black roster qualified for Series Three in 2021 and Series One in 2022 after achieving success at the Academy level. However, the organization has not reached the Series since then.

With the addition of Gen.G Black, the team aims to showcase the abilities of relatively unknown talent and surprise their opponents.

The new Gen.G Black roster features a diverse array of talent from around the world. The team is led by the IGL, kazler, and includes rose, heist, kazzie, IssaNina, Calvrix, kasumu, and coach Sword.

Coach Sword hails from Canada, rose from Brazil, and kazler from Poland. In addition, the roster includes American talent in the form of IssaNina, heist, and kasumu. None of the players have top-tier Game Changers experience, with many of them participating in qualification tournaments or playing for Game Changers academy teams.

This experimental team now has the support of a prominent esports organization behind them. Despite the recent announcement, the team will be competing on April 4 at 5 pm ET.

It remains to be seen if this roster can quickly adapt after the announcement and challenge other Game Changers teams vying for a spot in Series One in 2023.
