Gen.G hires mCe as VALORANT coach and promotes Blank to GM.

Gen.G Expands its VALORANT Branch with New Additions

Gen.G, the prominent esports organization, has made important additions to its VALORANT division by appointing Matthew “mCe” Elmore as a coach and promoting Andrew “Blank” Leverette as the general manager, the organization announced today.

MCE, widely recognized as a CS:GO player and coach, is making the switch to VALORANT to lead a talented roster consisting of Kenneth “koosta” Suen, Shawn “Shawn12590” O’Riley, Michael “MkaeL” De Luca, Danny “huynh” Huynh, and Anthony “gMd” Guimond.

Arnold Hur, the COO of Gen.G, expressed his confidence in mCe, stating that “MCe’s extensive knowledge of CS:GO mechanics will greatly benefit our VALORANT team. With our young VALORANT roster, we believe that mCe will successfully shape our team.”

After retiring as a player in 2018 following his time with Dignitas, mCe transitioned into coaching and worked with various teams including Rogue, The Quest, and Chaos Esports Club. During his tenure with the Chaos team from 2020 to January 2021, they achieved remarkable success, winning multiple events like DreamHack Masters Winter 2020: North America in December.

Before joining Gen.G, mCe was coaching Bad News Bears.

Expressing his excitement about the new opportunity, mCe said, “I am truly excited to embrace this new challenge in my career and contribute to the development of the VALORANT team. Our young core of players are dedicated to self-improvement and teamwork. I am eager to collaborate with them and achieve victory for our #TigerNation.”

Meanwhile, Blank, who served as the VALORANT coach for Gen.G throughout 2020, will now take on the role of general manager, overseeing the entire operation.
