G2 welcomes Mixwell as inaugural pro VALORANT roster player

G2 Esports Signs Mixwell as Captain of its VALORANT Team

G2 Esports has added another pro to its VALORANT lineup. The organization announced today that Oscar “Mixwell” Cañellas Colocho has been signed as the team’s first player and captain.

Mixwell expressed his excitement about joining G2 Esports, stating, “G2’s history shows that they are competitive in every game they’ve been part of and their content is also top. Most of my fans are also G2 fans, so it makes even more sense for me.” He emphasized his goal to become the best VALORANT player and lead the best team in the world.

Mixwell has been a prominent figure in the Spanish CS:GO scene, having played for teams like OpTic Gaming, G2, Movistar Riders, and Cloud9. He has transitioned into VALORANT and has already achieved success by winning five tournaments during the closed beta phase.

G2 Esports CEO Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez Santiago commended Mixwell, mentioning that many top organizations were vying to have him on their rosters. Ocelote also assured fans that G2’s VALORANT team would soon become world champions.

Ocelote’s expertise in building world-class esports rosters is well-known, particularly in League of Legends where G2 is a renowned team. They won the Mid-Season Invitational last year and are expected to continue their success this season.

Future Plans for G2

G2 will continue to expand its VALORANT roster around Mixwell in the coming weeks.
