G2 removes keloqz as mixwell returns to VALORANT starting roster

G2 Esports Releases Keloqz and Signs mixwell in Their VALORANT Roster

G2 Esports made a major roster change by officially releasing Wassim “keloqz” Cista and signing Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas Colocho for their VALORANT team. Shortly after the announcement, Team Heretics quickly swooped in and signed keloqz.

Keloqz’s Journey

Keloqz was benched after G2’s victory over SuperMassive Blaze in the EMEA VCT Challengers One main event. Mixwell was brought back into the starting roster but matches were postponed due to the ongoing Ukraine crisis.

Keloqz showcased his skills during Masters Three Berlin, playing Jett, Skye, and Sage. However, despite their semifinals finish, G2 couldn’t make it past the EMEA LCQ. G2 moved keloqz to the bench when they announced their new lineup for 2022.

However, keloqz had another opportunity to prove himself after G2’s disappointing performance in the first EMEA VCT qualifier of 2022. He took mixwell’s place as the primary duelist and had decent performances against Fnatic and SuperMassive Blaze.

Mixwell’s return to the G2 roster is still uncertain as Riot has not yet announced the rescheduled week three matches.

Team Heretics Signs keloqz

Shortly after parting ways with G2, keloqz joined Team Heretics’ VALORANT roster. Team Heretics previously won the First Strike event in 2020 but faced challenges during the VCT 2021 campaign due to roster changes.
