G2 Esports Crowned Red Bull Home Ground Champions

G2 Esports emerged victorious as the champions of Red Bull Home Ground in a hard-fought battle against Team Liquid in the VALORANT tournament. The series went to a fifth map, with G2 securing a 13-10 win over Team Liquid. At one point, Team Liquid had a 2-1 advantage in the map count.

A Grueling Battle for Victory

The intense competition between the two teams resulted in three of the five maps reaching double digits in round count. Team Liquid claimed victory on Icebox with a score of 14-12 and on Haven with a score of 13-11. G2, on the other hand, dominated Split and Bind, winning with scores of 13-6 and 13-3, respectively. The decider map, Ascent, was won by G2 with a score of 13-10.

G2’s Domination in the European Region

G2’s triumph in the Red Bull Home Ground tournament solidifies their position as one of the top teams in Europe. They have consistently achieved success, emerging as winners in various competitions. Their only loss came in the First Strike Europe tournament, where they were defeated by Team Heretics, who ultimately claimed the championship title.

Awaiting International Challenges

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the absence of international tournaments, it is difficult to gauge G2’s performance on the global stage. However, once international play resumes, both G2 and Team Liquid are expected to showcase their strength and competitiveness.
