Four VALORANT Teams Advance to VCT European Challengers Two Main Event
Four teams have secured their spots in the VCT European Challengers Two main event. G2 Esports, Alliance, Fnatic, and Team Heretics will be joining Ninjas in Pyjamas, OG, Wave Esports, and FunPlus Phoenix in the closed qualifier.
G2 Esports, who had a dominant run in the Challengers One qualifiers, were defeated by NiP. Despite this setback, G2 Esports quickly bounced back in the open qualifier, defeating the unsigned Finnish team Animel in the final round.
Alliance had a successful debut event, overcoming Team Liquid and DfuseTeam to secure their spot in the main event. Fnatic had a thrilling series against Guild, coming out on top in a close match. Meanwhile, Team Heretics faced strong competition from the unsigned Polish team Chakalaka, but managed to secure their victory.
Main Event Matchups and Schedule
The closed qualifier main event for EU Challengers Two will consist of best-of-three series. The matchups are as follows: Wave Esports vs Alliance, NiP vs G2, FPX vs Fnatic, and OG vs Heretics. The first series will begin on February 20 at 10am CT.
