FPX and baddyG separate ways amicably

FunPlus Phoenix and baddyG Part Ways

FunPlus Phoenix has announced its mutual separation from baddyG, a substitute player for its VALORANT division.

The Polish player joined the team as an emergency substitute on March 10. With him on the roster, FPX successfully qualified for the VCT Masters Reykjavík. However, due to travel restrictions, the team is unable to participate in the tournament and is now undergoing roster changes.

In a post on social media, FPX stated, “We are sad to announce that we are mutually parting ways with baddyG. Thank you for stepping into the team and helping us make an unprecedented run when the team was in a struggling time.”

BaddyG joined the team as a substitute for ANGE1, who was unable to play. Unfortunately, travel restrictions and COVID-19 prevented the team from participating in the Masters tournament. Instead, Team Liquid will represent the EMEA region.

In a statement on TwitLonger, baddyG expressed his gratitude saying, “Thank you guys for giving me a chance to prove myself and be able to shine a little bit.”

It is unclear whether FPX will make further changes to its roster. However, with many EMEA teams looking to shake up their rosters for the next stage, it is highly possible.
