FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) emerged victorious in Group B of VCT Masters Copenhagen, earning the second seed after defeating Northeption. They will now face off against Fnatic in the playoffs, with SUYGETSU joining his team for the match.

On the map Fracture, FPX found success with ardiis lurking beneath B site and Shao delivering impressive clutches. However, Northeption disrupted FPX’s executes with early aggressive utility, making it challenging for FPX. Despite this, FPX held a narrow 7-5 lead heading into Northeption’s attack side.

FPX strategically positioned themselves on defense, anticipating Northeption’s moves and catching them off guard. The FPX lead reached 12-7 before Northeption managed to secure an attack round. However, a well-timed Omen teleport by ANGE1 and an ardiis Operator triple quickly shut down their comeback attempt, resulting in a 13-9 victory for FPX on Fracture.

FPX demonstrated their dominance on Ascent, particularly with ardiis and Shao’s outstanding performances. They secured a 9-3 lead in the first half, despite xnfri’s impressive plays for Northeption.

Although Northeption won a crucial pistol round on their attack side, FPX managed to maintain their lead. Northeption’s attempted comeback was thwarted by a stunning anti-eco round win from FPX, with ANGE1 delivering a triple kill. FPX emerged victorious with a 13-9 score on Ascent, bringing Northeption’s Masters run to an end.

FPX faced travel issues once again, with SUYGETSU being unable to acquire a visa in time for the group stage. However, SEIDER stepped in admirably for FPX during the group stage, providing consistent play in FPX’s victories.
